Susan's Background and Story: When Susan was 16 years old she knew she wanted to be a motivational speaker, author, and trainer/coach. She would watch her favorite mentors on Public TV such as: Zig Ziglar and Leo Buscaglia, as well as read self-help books with an insatiable thirst. Susan went to college with her career in mind, and earned her Bachelor's degree in Communication and Business. After graduating, she worked as a national sales representative for Advo Systems, a national direct mail marketing company. When working with national clients such as Firestone and Roundy's, Susan learned quickly that the way to be successful was to discover your client's business profit centers, and their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to growth. By taking the time to understand her client's needs, Susan could create a tailor-made value-added proposition that guaranteed her client's growth and success. By her late twenties, Susan was making 6-figures and teaching the Dale Carnegie Sales Course. Then, as life would have it, Susan's youngest daughter was born and became ill. Susan quit her job to stay home and care for her. When her daughter recovered, Susan went back for her master's degree in communication, and began to study the effects of intrapersonal and interpersonal communication in achieving our goals. Soon after Susan set out to start her training and coaching business in 1989, Susan was hired by Pepsi to create their Sales and Leadership Development Program. Happy with results, Pepsi referred Susan to a manufacturing company called Milsco Manufacturing, the makers of the Harley-Davidson leather seats. Susan again worked with the leaders at Milsco to develop success strategies and employee engagement. Impressed by their results, they referred Susan to Harley-Davidson to work in developing their H.O.G. Department (Harley Owners Group), S.P.O.C. Department (dealer's Single Point of Contact) and the Technical Group, to ensure the Customer Experience improved. Today, Susan has worked with hundreds of companies and thousands of leaders to ensure they are reaching their individual, organizational and customer potential! You can too!
